... which is home to Il Duomo, the fifth largest cathedral in the world. It is an imposing sight over its namesake Piazza del Duomo, and attracts thousands of visitors every day. The exterior is in a constant state of renovation, still going from when we were here 9 years ago. From here we strolled the short distance to Castello Sforzesco, which has been built, rebuilt, expanded & renovated since the 14th century until it was handed over to the ...

We have decided to make a big salad for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing in our garden. We drive to the supermarketo in Bellagio and stock up. ... village is, well, a village. Much like the others we have seen but actually quite flat - a rarity in these areas. The reindeer and wild boar here for the tourists was quite interesting. Just the two of us on the way down. We find the girls and the funeral has finally finished, but they did have to overstay their time in the carpark while waiting for the hearse to move. Back home via the car ferry and Bellagio again where we enjoy a dinner of cheese, salami, bread, olives etc. and ...

... good afternoon! Settled in our seats, we looked out the windows to really look at the scenery we were passing this time. It must have been washing day as many homes had washing hanging over the balconies. An hour later, we arrived in Como. When the guard came through the carriage to check people's tickets, she informed us that we were sitting in First Class and that our ticket was for second Class! Oops! Think she meant that we should have counted the first ...
