      ... skills were really put to the test. Neither of us have international service right now, so that also means we don't have GPS to guide us.       Museum at Academia for a bit of culture- lots of painting of last supper that were rescued(?) from churches in town. Some really old 14c stuff and some more recent restored items. Amazing brushwork and huge alter pieces some with bible stories that were new to me. Spent arvo wandering lanes and canals. Pizza at same restaurant. ...

      ... again, so off early to Como and then a ferry to Argegno. We were hoping to catch the cable car up to a town called Pigra, but upon arrival discovered the next one was 2 and half hours away. By now some quite heavy cloud was rolling in and visibility was going to be poor, so a coffee and the rapid ferry back to Como was a better plan. We had chosen our apartment for it's views so decided to enjoy what was left of our time here enjoying those and relaxing.

      ... about 15 minutes to find it and along the way we saw an Aperol store. In front of us was a magnificent catherdral. Breathtaking. We walked inside and this is the most beautiful catherdral inside I have ever seen. They were tombs downstairs and two popes ? That were behind glass with a silver mask covering the face and the hands looks like they were preserved after death. The galleria shopping center ...
