Today was the day that the Tour de France was in Nice for the Team Time Trial (TTT). A 25km loop around the city, finishing on the promenade which teams would tackle at average speeds of over 55km/h. Going into the stage the favourites were Omega Pharma-Quick Step with the specialised time trialist, Tony Martin and Team Sky, headed by tour favourite Christopher Froome.
