    We decided to just take the 8 seater, and enjoy a boat ride in this famous lake, enjoying the panoramic view of the town on one side, and the valley on the other. The lake is more beautified by the surrounding Eucalyptus trees which give it a splendid outline as well.

    ... 4 hours over half-finished hair-pinned mountain roads. We arrived tired only to discover that Ooty wasn't the lush, breezy hill station we had been led to believe. It was in fact incredibly grimy and polluted with heavy traffic. All was made slightly worse when the first couple of guest houses we tried were full and we ended up in a place that resembled Postal.
