        ... like Fuji apples in the U.S. These apples are huge and crisp and sweet. They are about the size of one of our grapefruits. They cost about 80 cents apiece. Dennis and I shared one for lunch. It was really delicious. We then went to the pottery that was nearby. We saw the kilns that this unfinished pottery was fired in. It was very interesting.

        ... from Hirosaki. The garden is separated into 2 parts by a 13m cliff. There is a western house which is now a tea house, a Japanese house and an Archeology Museum. We have morning tea in the tea house.
