    ... memorable were the Imperial Palace, Sisi's museum & St. Stephens Cathedral. The story of Sisi (Elizabeth, empress of Austria) is quite fascinating, I would encourage you to google her & read about her life.

    ... very fast. There were lots of foot bridges across the river. And of course, lots of trains went by as we rode. When we got to Mayrhofen we went to the train station where the steam train was getting ready to leave for its afternoon trip through the valley. We had decided not to ride it as we have driven the valley several times. We waited and took pictures as it pulled out of the station.

    ... we had a drink at the bar and took our laptop down there where it works a lot better!! Tonight we walked down to what seems like a local social club. It was full of Austrians and they seem to be enjoying themselves. The meal was okay – I had fish but as you can tell it wasn’t outstanding. Doesn’t matter. Back in the room for planning for tomorrow and it doesn’t seem that noisy after all thank goodness.

    ... around a small mountain and almost doubled back on itself.

    From there we took a side road, with more switchbacks, up to the Edelweiss-Spitze. This was the highest point on the road at 2571 meters. There were 360 degree views, and even a restaurant with a Zimmer (i.e. rooms you could rent).
