Beautiful, clean and newly renovated rooms. Staff were extremely, especially Maria who helped us with our car rental issues. Highly recommend the Gasthof Weisses Rossl!!!

... see the ski jump from the 1964 Olympics. The mountains and even further. It was actually quite scary to be up that high. It was amazing to see it from that angle though. After that we then went for a walk along the river and ended up back in the main square where we were going to try some strudel but our eyes quickly turned to the schnapps distilery. Austria is where schnapps comes from and of course they are very famous for it. The liquor is made 40 km away ...

... some people can't even find a seat, it's that packed. The afternoon is becoming evening and we are happy enough to make our way back across Munich to our apartment and call it a day, we have an early off in the morning. One thing we don't have is a working TV, first day the satellite went down, we called to get it fixed, but to be honest have not missed it at all, perhaps that's because it only had two English channels anyway More ...

Tomorrow we have a few spots to visit along with the English Gardens and I want to have a look at the BMW museum perhaps on Sunday. Later in the week we have more family UK Hudd's arriving in Munich for a couple of days carrying out some Hofbräuhaus auditing :) Sorry this is so short, but it's ...

... is a stunning place to visit at Christmas and well worth a visit. It's a little gem of a city hidden in the mountains with some beautiful places to visit. In December there are five different Christmas markets in Innsbruck and the atmosphere is really something else! There are many little stalls that sell the most delicious Glüwein in beautiful mugs which you can take away as a souvenir for just €2.50. They also sell Kiachle which is a doughnut-like cake and ...

... but because we had seen a photo of the central shopping strip on Google Images. The quaint medieval houses painted in pastel yellows and pinks with the striking backdrop of the steep mountains circling the town. We wanted to see this scene for ourselves. We arrived at night - not too hard to do, as night falls very early at this time of year. Our hostel was outside the centre of the city, but only a 30 minute walk away. Our walk didn't take us past any ...
