    ... Somehow we survived, though it had been a very long day. We turned in about midnight local time (1 am our time). So we had been awake (or half-awake) for almost 24 h.

    The next day the contest began. We sang quite well.
    In the evening we went to St Martin's Church where we had a concert together with choirs from St Petersburg and Lubeck. We went also to the Music Academy. Both the Church and the Academy were very beautiful.

    ... in the world apparently. 786 stairs to the top!! It was quite hard however and I got to about 10 stairs from the top and was very nearly sick!
