... for most of us it went along the lines of "I have 5 people in my family, I like apples, I love china etc" however we could all see how much everyone has improved in the last 2 weeks. The afternoon activity was supposed to be doing a triathlon however it felt like a million degrees so we persuaded them to cancel the hard physical activity and have one final day on the beach. ... it was time to bring the boats back onto the beach so we could pack everything away again. I have to say, it is a lot easier taking everything down than it is putting it all up. With the boats all clean and put away the bus had arrived to take us back to the campus. By the time we got back everyone was exhausted. We decided to give the beach a miss for tonight since it wasn’t that sunny anyway and head for bed.
... but bad because sometimes you would get a bit lost. Our teacher wanted us to learn the sounds of each tone and recognise it when said to us. I sucked at this. Even though there are only 4 tones it is so easy to get them mixed up with each other. After lunch we headed back to Oliver’s room and decided to spend an hour just catching up on what had been said in the mandarin lessons so we weren’t left to far behind. we arrived was jump in. The only negative I can think of at the moment is that
we are in separate rooms. Oliver is sharing with another guy called Chris on
the 3rd floor of the dorms while I am in the 2nd floor
sharing with 1 Chinese lady called Sharron and an English teacher called Kaila.
