      ... It was a very short homily and we were able to follow along with the rest of mass, although were very surprised when the priest pulled out a guitar to lead the Our Father- it was beautiful. We shared "peace" with the Germans around us and received Holy Communion. Then, their was a Eucharistic procession that all participated in-- bands, flags, tents-- the whole shebang.       ... ride was talking to a lovely, older couple from British Columbia, and finally getting a seat after 30 minutes of standing on this hot train. We arrived in Milan and quickly boarded train number two. We didn't get water as we knew we'd be in first class and would have food service. Lovely first class!! Assigned seats, air conditioned car, food service, delicious coffee (at noon!!!), and fabulous sandwiches. And what were we thinking only getting ONE small bottle ...

      ... Val Gherdëina in South Tyrol and Canazei in the Fascia Valley in Trentino. Then we travelled east over Passo Pordoi to reach Arabba. We stopped there for some refreshments. From there it was a short journey north over Passo Campolongo back to Corvara. In winter, this pass can be crossed on skis, but today we luxuriated in the warm 24 degree sunshine.       This morning we wandered around the streets of Lienz - a medieval town in the Austrian state of Tyrol. We saw buildings dating from the 1200's. We then took the bike up to the Großglockner Alpine Pass in Austria.
