... ride was talking to a lovely, older couple from British Columbia, and finally getting a seat after 30 minutes of standing on this hot train. We arrived in Milan and quickly boarded train number two. We didn't get water as we knew we'd be in first class and would have food service. Lovely first class!! ... Val Gherdëina in South Tyrol and Canazei in the Fascia Valley in Trentino. Then we travelled east over Passo Pordoi to reach Arabba. We stopped there for some refreshments. This morning we wandered around the streets of Lienz - a medieval town in the Austrian state of Tyrol. We saw buildings dating from the 1200's. We then took the bike up to the Großglockner Alpine Pass in Austria.
