    ... to Weihai to Hailu(v)dao to Qingdao. It began with excitement that goes like, "I am going to the beach!" then the euphoria died when I was stuck in the car for like 12 hours on route to Weihai. You see, I don’t have a car license, so well can’t help much with my kind-of-frustrated Producer, his Assistant aka girlfriend and knowledgeable cinematographer.

    ... was supposed to pick us up from the harbour had been cancelled so we had no way to get back. Yet another hour of waiting we managed to all squeeze into the back of a small minivan which took us into town where we had lots of food and lots more drink before heading home.     ... it was time to bring the boats back onto the beach so we could pack everything away again. I have to say, it is a lot easier taking everything down than it is putting it all up. With the boats all clean and put away the bus had arrived to take us back to the campus. By the time we got back everyone was exhausted. We decided to give the beach a miss for tonight since it wasn’t that sunny anyway and head for bed.

    ... to our classroom for another 3 hours of lessons. This round of lessons we moved onto actual words rather than just their sounds. The mandarin lesson finished and we all headed to the beach, Oliver stayed behind with a few others to wait for a man to sort out the internet which took blooming ages.
