Hamish and I took a train and bus up to Each-Sur- Sure. A very pretty region that is part of one of the Luxembourg National Parks. The trees were past there autumn best, but still pretty. We started off by exploring the castle... now a well preserved ruin, that sits above a town that is in the"u" bend of the river Sure. Then we walked along the river banks towards Lultzhausen. It was a track some ...

... all afternoon and after dinner just went for a stroll over to the fairground and yes you did have to pay 17 euros to go in the tent to drink beer and listen to the music we can hear from the van. It has turned out to be a really entertaining weekend that we had not expected. The only downside is that the music goes on to about 3.00am, maybe it will finish earlier tonight.

It's 8:20 and Francois is waiting at the shop where I was to meet him.I'm lost in downtown Mayeux where traffic is looney, and the train leaves at 8:39. I corner some poor woman who must have been terrified of the guy soaking wet with a bike tube looped around his neck (in a classic Parisian knot, I might add) and she points me to ...

... take us right through Luxembourg and Luxembourg City. When we told the Brits camping next to us that we were going to Luxembourg they laughed and said we were the first people they had ever met who had planned on going to Luxembourg. So naturally we were a bit trepidatious, I was picturing New Jersey.
          Nice Surprise!

          Saga of the Swimsuits

... suit was indeed waiting, but it had two problems: first it wasn't actually a swimsuit bottom, it was only a swim skirt; second, it was about 2 inches too big. Ever since then, I've been on the look out for swimsuits. Since we've been busy gallivanting to Brussels, Ghent, and around Luxembourg, this hasn't been a top priority. Still the onset of sunny weather has reminded me that I really do want to take advantage of the great indoor pools here before we leave. ...
