Very wet temples
... the paths.. So we walked back to the station and made our way back to Tokyo (seeing numerous bullet trains at the station where we changed trains - much to David’s delight!) where we bought a tray of sushi from the local supermarket and have just sat on the bed eating that watching Japanese television surrounded by some very damp clothes!
Tomorrow we move to Hiroshima - and hopefully will be reunited with our luggage (I’m not 100% sure I trust this ...

... but my visit was mostly about baseball, and so is this blog to keep it from going into extra innings. But I do want to say how much I enjoyed the people I met. Without a single exception in three days, every encounter was pleasant. I found myself smiling time after time, shaking my head at how refreshingly nice people were. There was a language barrier, but we were all interested in understanding each other.
Dear Tokyo...I hope this doesn't come out of left field...but I love ya!
