Overall the ride went well and everyone was friendly and in a good mood. My metal studded tires worked great on my 29er, there are 400 studs in each tire. I never fell, not even when a rider right in front of me went down unexpectedly and I had to take evasive action.

Thank you Ann Arbor...we didn't get nearly enough time to enjoy you, but the time we did have was the perfect pick-me-up...and to those friends/co-workers we didn't have a chance to see, I'm so sorry! We figured the trip was going to be about 5 hours, so we took our time and cleaned up at the local "LA Fitness", then stopped at a coffee shop [our new favorite is Caribou Cafe] to start our trip refreshed and relaxed.
