This is a good time to visit as the schools are back and most people are at work, we had fast passes so that we wouldn't have to stand in line for the rides too long,most waits were between 5 & 10 minutes sometimes just walking straight on. We have heard that in the peak season the waits were up to four hours for some rides.

... the slides we had wanted to by about 6pm when the usual afternoon Florida thunderstorm had made it's way over the park resulting in the closure of all slides and pools. We pulled up a seat and waited to see if the storm was going to pass. Unfortunately it wasn't going anywhere soon so we set off back to the hotel.

Universal studios islands of adventure today, and is our last theme park (I think, I pray).They have the Harry Potter world here. We sampled " Butterbeer", watched the wonders of a magic wand ( & yes got conned into buying the kids one each), followed Harry on the Quidditch field, you get the picture. Some pretty awesome rides. ... they had brought along a tub of glow sticks from Walmart and she spent the hour making necklaces and bracelets and handing them out to all the kids round about. Again the time passed quickly and then the floats appeared, the music was great and the floats just amazing.
