There were quite a few boats at their dock area and we watched a few fishermen going out on the river. And it is a big river. I'd say it's almost a half mile across at the wide points that we saw. During this part of the drive we saw a lot of boats on the rivers and lakes and there were many pontoon boats, an exceptional amount, I'd say. But, I love the pontoon boats, so I understand.

Hellllo!
Im back from Chicago and been back at camp for nearly 2 weeks now, not had time on the computer to fill you in.
Ok so im back from my 5 day trail it was good apart from my girls were an absolute nightmare. They were bullying and picking on each other so much we had to have a talk with them and the camp director when we got back and infact one of the girls parents is on there way to pick her up (the bully) as i type this as they are so annoyed at her ...
Again, we made it!
... time we had reached Wausau. We had some confusion in finding Marathon Park, where we now are staying. The park is huge, more of a fairgrounds than a simple park. There are ice rinks, a curling venue, trails, pathways for bicycling and walking and a whole raft of other things. I can imagine that in the throes of summer that it truly rocks. ... peaked a little soon going there! It’s been in progress since the 1930’s and is expected to be finished in the next 25/30 years. The native Indians built it to rival Mount Rushmore. It will eventually be an Indian riding a horse – you can just about make this out I will post a photo so you can make your own mind up!!
