Now at Wauchope and north of Capricorn. There is a pub, a petrol pump and a caravan park. we arrived early afternoon and celebrated our northerly position with a beer. ... of the time though going to the koala hospital in town (which not only is really good but also free), swimming in the pool in the rain, doing a yoga class in the front room (Jo is a yoga teacher) and then having a huge BBQ and drinking a lot. ... planning to leave this disaster but I hope she gets some sleep. The kids make friends with a lovely boy and girl and it really couldn't be more pleasant. We watched the surfers here, it was not a competition but they do have a surf carnival here every year. The caravan park here was lovely, broken in two parts by the road to the beach, one half is on the estuary and the other on the beach. They have a beautifully manicured golf course that mr O'Kane would love, it has sweeping views of the ocean, the fishing is good, we will return to this town on another trip and stay for a ...

... drive through sites and plenty of space. Told to choose our own site.

2:45pm Unhooked and we drove into Port Macquarie, 15kms south of this site.

Sue went to the hairdressers for a colour while I checked out the jetty then fuelled up and returned to pickup Sue who then bought some shoes. Back to Stony Park to find kangaroos everywhere.
Dinner and retire for the night, no TV reception, very little radio so it looks like the media player tonight.
