I haven't realised that this was actually more than one structure so this was good to look around, and the exterior is made up of what looks like tiny tiles to give the shell effect. we had really hoped to go to the botanical gardens but there wasn't much point since the rain was coming in now so we went for ice cream and coffee on Circular Quay.

Yesterday, Leila picked us up and we drove to Bronte beach. From there we took the cliff walk to the world famous Bondi beach with spectacular scenery and very heavy breathing... The waves, to us, looked enormous and surfers were showing off their skills. Lying there, thinking about going into the fairly cold water a siren went off which turned out to be a ...

... most confident lizards I've ever seen - the Australian Water Dragons.

They sit on rocks and grass, apparently unfazed by a number of gawking tourists. They're very powerful little creatures and they have a memorable and amusing run. Check it out on YouTube.

Also on the walk we saw a Globe Spider (Australian Garden Orb Weaver Spider). It was another impressive Australian creature, with a big thick web that had caught quite a few bugs. I forgot to mention on ...
