... decided to go and have a look at the Opera House a bit closer up. I haven't realised that this was actually more than one structure so this was good to look around, and the exterior is made up of what looks like tiny tiles to give the shell effect. we had really hoped to go to the botanical gardens but there wasn't much point since the rain was coming in now so we went for ice cream and coffee on Circular Quay.

They sit on rocks and grass, apparently unfazed by a number of gawking tourists. They're very powerful little creatures and they have a memorable and amusing run. Check it out on YouTube.
