    First day of rain :(

    ... flowing syndrome' where they eat a piece of plastic or something which gets stuck causing an air pocket to form forcing the turtles upward. A lot of others had shell scarring from where they had been run over by boats, it was pretty sad really.
    Learnt a lot about jelly fish too, they're really keen on that over here with signs up and down the beach warning people and even having hint bottles of vinegar ...

    ... different varieties of fish you could see, including a clown fish the boys called him Nemo! We also saw a couple of turtles, parrot fish, sea cucumbers, massive clams and a shark, thankfully it wasn't a great white so no Jaws re-enactment phew!     ... Izzy, the turtle, which is in the rehabilitation center. She ate plastic, which caused her to build up gasses and float thus causing her to get hit by a boat. She also looks like she was attacked by some animal. They giver her laxatives and antibiotics to help her pass the plastic and eliminate the gas. We also were taken up to the roof to see the top of the predators tank and coral reef tank. We saw a small crocodile that is being rehabilitated for an ...

    ... and we even watch jumbo jets taking off and landing at the Townsville airport. The rain then came back and with more intensity. So we headed to The Strand what was going to be ice cream became a warmer alternative. Coffee and cake, with inside seating overlooking the rain soaked beach and foreshore of a great city.

    Townsville provided us with so many signs, just check out the pictures for the signs...
