... an ice cream.. once she had me pinned down with my hands occupied with a cone and the inability to run she broached the subject of a visit to the top of the rock...

Even the cold ice cream did little to quell the sweat that broke out on my brow..

... also had seating areas and free to use BBQs right on the beach. Not a bad place for our first night in the tent. We made a BBQ on the beach whilst the sun set only to be joined by 3 locals who live right next to the beach. 3 local **** heads that is. 2 blokes and a woman who was all raging alcoholics, pretty ****** up and they seemed to love to chat. Great. After our BBQ we managed to break away from the crazy gang and luckily for us ...

... most amazing view of the ocean! We even woke up early this morning just to enjoy a cup of tea each on the balcony and admiring the view. The room was brilliant! And here we are now, on the bus, listening to some music, on our way to Cairns! We have 9 nights in Cairns before we head to New Zealand, so we are definitely going to make the most of our time here in Australia. It's just the most amazing country, and we are having the most amazing time. We are both so in love with this ...

We decided to stay a second day here based on the weather forecast further north. We hear they are letting no one up to the Daintree rainforest area. We will decide in the morning whether to stay or move on even by a 100 k based on the cyclone's activity. We took the bus to the town center and our first stop was the HQ Reef, the Australian Great Barrier Reef Authority's education and research aquarium and turtle hospital. A truly great place, small but great guides and volunteers ...

... the Koala. It was called 'Thor'! We both got to hold him and have out picture. He was very fluffy and not too heavy. They get called koala bears, but are not in the bear family. They got this name when Australia was discovered. They killed and stuffed the koalas then sold then as koala bears in the uk... lovely. After that we got to hold 2 different snakes. One was called Murray and one called Jimmy. They were types of python, but we very friendly. As long as you didn't ...
