    ... lunch and found the part at a caravan dealer - pulled the old one out and replaced it - $26 and a 5 minute job, but 160 k out of our way - but it was a nice drive through the Hervey Ranges. Stayed the night at a van park just north of Townsville - nice grass sites with palm trees for shade.

    ... as townsville didn't have much to offer for us on this part of the journey) so we stayed Saunders beach which was nice. However after rustling up a lovely dinner and getting an early night so we could get to Cairns asap the next day, we were woken up in the middle of the night to what sounded like a typhoon!     ... to find mutineers from the Bounty but was wrecked off the coast near Townsville. They have a
    cannon firing demonstration that asked for volunteers , very informative .We returned to the caravan after getting fuel for lunch and relaxed for the rest of the day.

    ... the bus stop so I headed there and checked in. As i walke dinto my room I thought I was going to throw up with the smell of stale cheesy fett, the muggy atmosphere and the heat!! Although there's a fan in the middle of the room it doesn't seem to be having any effect unfortunately- pretty tired from traveling today so fingers crossed i'll get used to this smell and slep through it! (Probably my least favorite hostel out of all the ones i've stayed in so far!!)
