Robyn has lived in Brisbane her entire life so we got lots of information on the city and the birds and wild life, including Forest Dragon (see photo). Back to their home for a walk in the golf course with their dog Lucy and a lamb dinner. After dinner jet lag hit ...

We arrived late on Thursday night so had to creep around trying to unpack in the dark.

The next morning we got up without much idea of what there was to do in Brisbane, so we asked the guy at reception what to do. He recommended the Lone Pine koala sanctuary. In the end I chose to travel with Virgin Australia, travelling economy with a return flight costing $2123. Virgin Australia has a good reputation, there is only one stopover each way and the cost is not too expensive for my wonderful employers. Also, the flight there gets me in London at 7:20am ...

Today was the big day, My first day in Beijing. I got to the Brisbane Airport at 9:30 for an 11:20 flight to Kuala Lumpur, it was a 6 1/2 hours. Personally I think that Malaysian Airlines could do with a bit better service but it still wasn't really that bad I had 11 hours to kill until my next flight to Beijing, So I went to the Petronas Towers and went onto the sky bridge, which is the worlds tallest sky bridge at 170m ...
