We got up at 7:20 today, with breakfast at 8:00, leaving at 9:00. Our first activity was a choice between a hike to Lake Grasmere or a walk in the village of Grasmere where Wordsworth is buried. We chose the hike with Ron. We walked along the White Moss Walk to Penny Rock Wood in the Lake District National Park. We walked along the River Rothay …

Or the man didn't know how to help us...anyway, we have come to the rival pub for a drink in their bar, and are using their 3 bar wifi. There is no phone reception, so couldn't even have used my hotspot. So we are happy and proud that we still have the stamina, and have that post walk euphoria. And I have to ...

We are at this moment in our 4th train, travelling from Liverpool to St. Bees!! So thought I would write up the day so far, plus put in the things I forgot to say yesterday, as I can't concentrate on reading, as have to keep looking out the window at the gorgeous scenery - this green and pleasant land.... First, yesterday I forgot to mention that we went to a little museum of Port Sunlight - gave good history of its origins, and about Lever. He was a grocer's son and worked ...
