... they were enveloped by the hungry little aquatic critters; it was hilarious to watch them all flying towards your mask. The final spot was a small bay on the west coast of Perhentian Besar, with an absolutely gorgeous stretch of sand and beautiful clear blue water at the shore. Overall it was a lovely trip.... to such an extent that only a few days later it would prompt me to thoroughly ignore my budget and treat myself to a scuba diving course on Ko Tao!

Nach einigen Tagen im Regenwald war es endlich an der Zeit an den Strand zu kommen. Wenn auch die Anreise mit Bus, Zug, Taxi und Boot auf die kleinere der beiden Perhentian Inseln langwierig und anstrengend war wurden wir mit einem tuerkisblauen Meer und feinstem Sandstrand auf der nicht extrem touristischen Insel belohnt.
