Monday, July 6, 2015. PCT day 78 miles 1189.2-1198 Today is a nero day. I slept in until 06:30 and left camp by 0730. The trail was all downhill, 8.5 miles into Sierra City, which is at 4200 feet elevation. It definitely felt warmer/hotter down here. I arrived here by 11:30ish. The small town is only about a mile from the trail. I set up camp by the local church. I had my cold shower ...

Sunday, July 5, 2015. PCT day 77. Miles 1163-1189.2 Today was a 26.2 mile day. Yes, I walked a marathon today. I even took a long lunch and nap some time mid-day. The nap definitely felt amazing. Spending the night last night in the hut was a treat as well. There were three other PCTers with me at the hut: Wallaby the 60 something year old Australian man, and the couple in their 20's, Dingo and Cosmic Bubbles. Wallaby is a pleasant person. I enjoy his company ...

Saturday, July 4, 2015. PCT day 76. Miles 1140-1163. Today was an amazing day. I kinda slept in. Didn't wake up until 5:45. My morning was slow. I didn't leave camp until around 0730. My intention for today was to do 25-26 miles, but that didn't happen for various reasons. For one, the trail was very crowded today with day hikers. Couldn't figure out why the trail was so crowded. But then ...

... about this dilemma. He said he actually got bitten by a mosquito in his penis while taking a ****. Wow!! Now that sucks. No pun intended. It rained hard and for a while last night too. My tarp works great. The monsoon weather persisted all day. There was localized storms all day. The hiking today was uneventful. If anything, I hiked thru the forest most of the day. However, the trail finally opened up again while hiking on this ridge. Definitely not the place to ...

Thursday, July 2, 2015. PCT day 74. Miles 1095-1115 I was very fortunate that MC Hobo (another PCT hiker in his 60s) and his wife were also staying at the Roadway Inn. His wife was hiking the PCT as well but dropped out. MC Hobo is pushing on. She was providing support for him since she dropped out. They offered me a ride back to the trailhead, thankfully. MC Hobo was not even gonna head out today, but tomorrow. The trail provides indeed. Before I left the hotel, ...
