    Only a few weeks after my previous holiday we were all treated to another opportunity for a big break: this week was 'Golden Week'. During this set of consecutive national holidays, the company competely closed down for three days. Great! However... So do most other companies in Japan.     ... we asked for help people did their best to help. The people alone quickly made Japan jump to the top of list of places to return.

    All good things come to an end - that's what makes them special.
    Thanks for following our adventures; hopefully you enjoyed reading the blog almost as much as we enjoyed collecting experiences to share. Now it's time to go back to work and start saving for the next adventure. Ideas are welcome!

    ... with a 12 hour flight to San Francisco, and the same again for a 31/2 hour flight to Vancouver. He tried sleeping but asked me to wake him up for the two amazing meals AirNZ served during the flight. I watched 3 movies back to back and got really tired but gained my second wind about an hour out of Tokyo, after an amazing meal of greek salad followed by beef tangine with pumpkin peas and couscous and lemon panacotta then a glass of sav blanc with cheese ...

    Prior to coming to Tokyo, we didn't really make an itinerary that we were going to follow.
