Rhine River Valley, Germany

A travel blog entry by krself

... for around 80% of production. We aren't huge Riesling fans but I read that German Riesling is less sweet so we will give it a try.

Bacharach is a very small "wall city", with an old medieval stone wall around it. The main reason people visit this area is for the wine and the amazing castles! There are too many to count and they are all beautiful. We toured the Rheinfels Castle. The Rheinfels castle was built in 1245 and is mostly in ruin . After expansions, it was ...

Also university life is kinda different from high school but for sure harder to get halfway good results.. Well, hello to my home for at least 3 ...

After almost 3 weeks I think we have seen all the churches and castles we need for awhile. Glenn said he has enough photos for 3 years of Christmas cards! Looking forward to Amsterdam and the museums.

... and wishing that I’d met these people at the beginning of Worms instead of the end.

And finally, after walking around for hours since I’d eaten that cray-cray ice cream sundae, I made it all the way to the train station. Next door is an interesting looking café/bar/restaurant, the Trans Europa. I went inside only thinking of grabbing a beer, but I ended up getting really silly and ordering some “Mexican appetizers” as well – nachos and ...
