Short stay in Lyon, we stayed at Warwick Reine Astrid hotel. Checked out at 9:30am & taxi to train station for 11am train to Paris. Big fan of the train!! 330kms & we should arrive in Paris at 1pm. We will then get tube to our Hotel The Pullman Eiffel Tower Hotel.

We left Sauvignone soon after 09:00 and took the autostrade to Turin and then onwards to Briancon. We stopped at Momtgenevre where relatively fresh snow had been swept for the road into piles on the car park. Lyon used to be a major silk producer, and there are secret tunnels that run through the city, in between buildings and such, that were used in the silk trade and during WWII. That afternoon we went to Lily's place (Jessica's friend and fellow Canadian) for some crepes and dutch blitz. Our third day in ...

... amp; ice cream sundae. It all looked amazing. I got a decaf coffee and called it a night. We decided to take the scenic route on the way home. We walked along the river and took a bunch of photos. We eventually arrived back at the hotel. I fell asleep at 1:30am.... Needed to wake up at 4:30am so I didn't get much sleep but hey, this is an amazing experience so I feel I can miss some sleep. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to catch up on sleep! For now, ...
