          Hotel In a Great Location

This lovely hotel is well situated around the block from Grand Place. We loved being so close! The concierge service gets A+ for being helpful and for great recs on restaurants and activities. Only draw back: the lobby bar does not open until 6 p.m.! Not that we're such big drinkers ...but, we really enjoy coming back at the end of the day and having a little time and place to kick-back. Their restaurant/bar downstairs doesn't have any "hang out" charm.

... double checked our ticket then checked the compass on my watch, sure enough we were heading south, the complete opposite direction. Technically we should have been in Brussels by now, instead we were just about in Bordeaux! Turns out Bruges is a small village in the Bordeaux region of France and in our hast in booking the tickets yesterday we assumed it was Bruges of Belgium! Embarrassed, grumpy and wishing we had missed the bloody train; we both got off ...

We perused all of the strange and interesting nick knacks whilst simultaneously turning down group after group of girl guides trying to sell us bag loads of Christmas cookies! Lisa felt bad about it, I less so... After the market we headed for a water and chocolate stop by one of the cities old churches. There was a statue opposite the church that some local students had decided to deface by adding ...

We were very pleased with the weather in Brussels. No snow and warmer temperatures. Made it a lot easier to get around.

Our hotel was fantastic---it was a small apartment. It had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and living room. Really ...
