    Yangshuo 28 degrees & overcast

It is an overcast but fine start to our last day in Yangshuo. I am out early with a taxi driver taking me out to a couple of old bridges I want to photograph, Yulong & Fuli bridges. He is a friendly guy and shows me a few other spots on the way. Mad driver as usual though.

The yYulong bridge already has plenty of tourists there even though it is only 7.30. I am followed with calls ...

You come to Yangshuo for the rivers tours. With that said, we booked another raft ride, this time on the Li River. The most popular section of this river flows from Guilin to Yangshuo through the Karst mountains. Our launch point was about an hour up river by taxi, in a town called Xingping. This is one of the "autonomous regions" of China, where there is a significant proportion of different ...

The pointy mountains described yesterday poke out of very flat valleys which are ideal for cycling, the local authorities have realised that foreign tourists like getting out on bikes, it makes them feel they are experiencing Chinese culture (whilst the Chinese zoom past in their cars) so they have built some cycle paths to link the ...

... day and we choose to sit outside. We place a wooden table on the patio area and set 4 folding chairs around. While we sit, Wendy starts the lunch preparation.

Off of the patio is the kitchen, there is no connecting door to the living room. The kitchen is a dark, barren room with a 2-burner gas hot plate and a wok. A few spices sit on a small table, various items hanging on the walls. Wendy has a large round chopping block and big cleaver. ...
