... back at the ship at 1:30pm in time for sailing and a late lunch.

Washing and ironing time to fill out the afternoon.

5 O'Clock WineO’clock on the balcony and then on to dinner in Pacific Moon. These afternoons at sea on fine afternoons are just magic - sun setting in the west, calm seas, light breeze and you can see forever. The company and the wine are good too !!

... br> I wanted to try and find another cluster but there wasn't any form of transportation around - the roads were so quiet here, so I just started walking along the road and hoped I'd come across something. Eventually a motorbike came along - I've started to get a bit afraid of motorbikes here but I was out of water, it was hot, and there was nothing else around, so I didn't really have a choice! We whizzed along the beautiful rolling hills of the Fujian countryside and ...

We had a full day on the South China Sea traveling north from Hong Kong to the heart of new China, first stop Xiamen.
It was a highly memorable journey as the South China seas were rocking and rolling, and the wind was howling. One staff member told us it was the roughest he had seen in his 6 months on the ship. We did okay until Gillian took an abs class, and found that rolling on the floor of a boat in rough seas is indeed ill advised. Fortunately ...

... night, this time we dined with Cheryl, her Dad Tom and her twins, William and Kate, lovely family from Melbourne. We had a great meal, lots of drinks and great company, we sat right at the front where everyone came into the dining room, so we all kept chatting to people we knew as they walked in and out, this was a great spot!!
After dinner, there was a production show so we all went to see it, but it had already started but what we saw was good.
