    ... with laptops and kindles out so I got mine out- nobody said anything! Before we landed we were told to turn off any electrical items off and not turn them on until the plane had stopped- which I did!! As soon as we landed people were turning their phones on and making calls!! They didn't even stop when the announcement that we were still on the runway and phones should be kept ...

    ... close you could almost touch them!

    In the evening we had ANOTHER Tibetan party night where we watched a show of dancers and singers. At the end Neil got thrust on stage and found himself in a tug of war competition! He ended up winning, and got a prize! Was funny as he had no idea what they were talking about ….could not even answer the question when they said “whats your name” in Chinese ;-)

    Sleeping Chinese

    The Chinese seem to have an ability to sleep anywhere. In Beijing Olympic Park, people were asleep on every bench. I've seen people asleep in the main shopping streets, with music blaring out of nearby shops, and next to main road with traffic horns blaring, but most surprising is the amount of people I've seen asleep whilst working.     ... nothing is ever where it's supposed to be in China, but we finally found the place and had a nice dinner.

    Chengdu, we've decided, is similar to every other Chinese city we've been to. The only differences are an abundance of outdoor restaurants and more cyclists than we've seen in Shangahi, Beijing, and other large cities.

    Sunday: I woke up and my rash was better! I went to see the pandas at the Chengdu Panda reserve which was super awesome. We also went out to dinner in Chengdu, WSU's treat. It was one of the girls birthday so I got to test my chopstick skills on cake!
