    ... to get the latest gadget! Tried to take photos but there's lots of police - some in plain clothes - shouting "NO" everytime you raise your camera.
    Booked the train ticket to Nan ning at the hostel reception (for a small fee, still avoiding hefty commission charges) 37 for a 1300km journey, saving me 2 nights accommodation costs into the bargain.

    ... all the small sand paths and enjoying the scenery. Not too bad, I'd say. We passed through dusty towns with wooden houses, little piglets running the streets, people in traditional dress walking from town to town and kids playing in a lake.
