... as members of the band taking part in the Maori Cultural demonstration last night, Nigel had a private Poi lesson today. Please see the video...his head is okay...

We are 7 out of 8 concerts done in China - one tomorrow night and then it's South Korea on Sunday.

6:00am start again...bus - plane - bus - hotel - rehearsal - food - concert - hotel - sleep - Korea!!!

... a concert this evening in one of the Opera House studio theatres. The band were in the audience and it was fantastic to see them perform from in front rather than from behind! Their programme was a fabulous mix of performance, audience interaction and demonstrations of Maori Culture. (See photos).

In the photos you will see a picture of an angry taxi driver. On 10 occasions today groups of us have been refused rides in cabs back to our hotel ...

... a lack of any English on the lady's part. Luckily for us, a kind gentleman with broken English was also there to help translate. He told us what we needed to know (sort of) and pointed us to the ticket desk.

One of which was on his hands and knees praying (seemingly for money from bystanders) with an old chap lying next to him who was covered in a sheet, in a similar fashion to how you would cover a dead body. That's probably the angle he was working but in that heat a body would not have lasted long before it started to decompose. Safe to say he was aiming to prey on foreigners.

... believe we have been here for 2 weeks and that our trip is coming to an end. This has been such a fun experience.
