Marks had to be in on Friday but we’re still teaching our last units and had to “guess” what the students would receive for a mark. The reports aren’t printed until next Friday so we can change things if necessary.

As you can see in the pictures, we have 3 staff who are pregnant – 1 due any day ...

... School continues to be very busy. I’m amazed how many extra things we can pack into the days, besides the teaching. In the last 2 weeks we’ve finished a reading marathon, had a talent show for our campus, held the annual spelling bee and I took my class on a half day excursion to bike around a lake. We did bike (a story all on its own) but never found the lake! All was well because we ended up at an air conditioned McDonald’s ...

... Centre. You have to remember that my return flight only cost about $1450, so this was a real bonus.
They also threw in a complementary breakfast buffet, which had a very eclectic selection of foods on it since they were trying to cater for all tastes on the Asian/ European spectrum. I didn't mind at all, and tried a bit of everything, although I didn't always finish what was on the plate. ...

... 3. Don't rely on the hotels wifi as all sorts of sites are blocked including Facebook and Google.  New food item tried: congee with raisins. Wouldn't recommend. Like a gluey bad porridge.  Woke up at 5.30 to a cloudy muggy day. The street outside our balcony looks down on a sort of courtyard/plaza. Last night I saw young people playing badminton and this morning I see old people doing tai chi. All the people walking by are clapping their hands ...
