BAD NEWS!

So far everything has been going swimmingly, the right stamps issued by the right departments, just one more to get, and Ted rang to say he wants to meet at Gregs apartment...

The last government department said NO to Teds application to sponsor a Z visa and residence permit application. No explanation, I meet or exceed their requirements, no reasons listed for the declined application... Just No.


So I am on a job hunt again!

The landing was a little off, there was a rainstorm flooding the runway as we landed and the plane swayed from side to side as it braked down the runway, I presume the plane was hydroplaning or the puddles were slowing one side more than the other or something, but a very rough and wobbly landing once touched down.

So after that it was out of the baggage ...

... ourselves to a deaf massage
(actually done by deaf people). It was amazing and the people were gorgeous. Of course this did not end our indulgence....cake and Chai tea soon followed.
To our amazement and sometimes??? delight, the Chinese Tourists filling the city were delighted by our presence and would use every opportunity to photograph us!! I now understand how celebrities feel as we were snapped by random people popping up lol!!

... get together in Laowaitan which is the foreign section of town. Even though a year had gone by, it was almost comical how little had changed. There are some new faces, but the feeling was just the same. I guess that's true anywhere though. It was great to see everyone again.

I entered zombie mode early in the evening, but still didn't make it to bed until rather late. After about 5 1/2hours ...
