Marcello took us to the towns Rose Garden, showed us around a little of the old town and then let us loose for an hour which included our lunch time. She directed us up the hill so we got a sandwich, chips and a Toblerone candy bar. I've been wanting one ever since we got here and decided by George I was going to enjoy a few bites.

The hike was beautiful, but ...

... People chatted quite a bit in the carriage and moved about to get good photos. I thought of you and Dad often, Mum ... Doing the same trip and loving it! Rather nice to follow in your footsteps. It was just outstanding. I loved it. Would actually just sit back and do it again, soaking it all in. Said goodbye to Gaudenz at Brig. Arrived at Zermatt and very easy to find the hotel. Great day. Many thanks to my travel companion! He's the one with the 'other' red ...
