Had another lovely day in paradise, not such a good day weather wise as mostly raining, but still beautiful. In the morning we had an Austria guide to show us around a couple of churches and the city. Another abc of the churches so no more of them. The town of Innsbruck is beautiful a little similar to salzburg. We have fallen in love ...

... drink and nibble before we ate too. Sue had cooked a beautiful chicken dish for all of us and we enjoyed some nice wine, limoncello and desert wine before setting off the last of the fireworks. The kids went to bed and we watched the last event (and only event we watched), the 4 x 100 mens relay with Usain Bolt in it of the Commonwealth games in Scotland. Tomorrow we are hoping for good weather so we can go and visit the nearby beautiful lake...fingers ...

... countries as we drove parallel to Lichtenstein for about 30 km. Drove to Chur, our first "Night Halt" campsite. You camp outside a campsite, can use their water, electricity, etc, and costs about half the full camping fee. OK for us. Walked down to look at the roaring river next to the camp. Heard what we thought were gunshots, but discovered they were blasting in a nearby quarry. Only once in the night! Great night's sleep with the roar of the Au river to lull us to ...

... and ate it as we passed through the countryside. At the top of the Fluela pass we stopped in the cold and rain for lunch where we ate the local - rosti. This little old building is the stop station for the skiers as they ski tour across the alps. Back down the mountain where Ric and Bryan were supposed to get out and ride into but alas it was too wet.
