... eventually. Oli and I had a couple of great late afternoon sessions, and on the last afternoon one of the runs into the village opened, so we had a 45 minute ride down from the very top of the mountain into the village.

In the Apres ski department, we found some great little places for dinner and/or drinks including the Brown Cow where we met our new mate Woody from Sydney, Paperla bar where we met 4 US diplomats who were on break from assignment ...

... of challenges and frustrations we face on this trip!!

We weren’t disappointed though, as we were blessed with a beautiful panorama of snow-capped mountains - 29 of them over 13,000ft high and two HUGE St Bernard dogs for Ness to stroke and fuss over. ... photos and video with my little waterproof camera, but it was a bit hard to get a good or impressive shot.

After we exited the waterfall and mountain we saw that the weather had changed quite a bit since the morning. We heard thunder echoing against the valley cliffs and there was a light shower, and then a bit more than a shower. We had to take shelter under a little wooden swiss shed for a while but then we moved on considering that if we stopped too long ...

It is not easy to sum up the adventures that pass in between these increasingly inconsistent posts. But I can only say that the lack of my communication serves as testimony to just how much time is invested in these adventures.

I'm on the final stretch of my stay in Switzerland, currently staying overnight in Zermatt and hoping to get a view of the Matterhorn before heading on south to Italy. The last few days have ...
