    We chose Lauterbrunnen because it is a perfect base for exploring the Alps. Lauter Brunnen’ (‘many fountains’) has 72 waterfalls in the valley, the most famous being the Staubbach Falls.     ... the back. For the first 10 minutes we practiced paddle strokes, forwards, backwards and then he made one side jump in and the other side had to pull them back and vice versa. Then we could all jump out and float along beside the boat until it started getting rougher. The wetsuit did a good job of keeping you warm – I could hardly feel how cold the water was! It was fun floating along.

    Hayley here with some semi insightful wisdom. WHAT WE HAVE LEARNT SO FAR: -Always go to Switzerland the day after Easter. HALF PRICE SWISS CHOCOLATE EVERYWHERE -Couchsurfing is great!     ... no. 208 - bears are omnivores, with only 20% of their diet being meat. After a fun filled, and speedy, (yet thoughtful - the bears) morning we packed up the camper, and sadly left a great place, with great food and people.
