... station/convenience store to get chocolate, telling Will I’d catch up. I saw the indication for Swiss francs come up on the register and thought maybe the transaction wouldn’t be possible but the clerk quickly made a calculation and I was back on the road. As I came up to Will I handed him half the chocolate bar, which he didn’t seem to mind at all. Up we went for what seemed like a long time. We passed a man and a woman cycling and I was tempted ...

After a quick walk along through the ice tunnels we headed back to the train. There were about 4 coaches to this train but 3 coaches were hired out to private parties and half a coach was made simply for normal paying passengers and we were all squashed in here like sardines and so it was almost impossible to take any photos on the way down!! Meanwhile the other end of the coach is blocked off where there are about 20 or so seats and is simply being used by staff!! ...

... the day playing in the snow and checking out the view. The snow is a big attraction for a lot of the Aussies in the group but I am personally less keen on it as snow is basically the last thing I want to see in mid-July. I am hoping the rest of the travel days are not like they were today. It would be very disappointing if half of my time in Europe was spent on a bus moving from destination to ...
