We left Calais and headed for a campsite which wasn’t the greatest and didn’t have very nice bathroom facilities but at least it was a gorgeous night. We spent an hour or so with our heads sticking out of the van and enjoying the stars. Love those nights! The next day we made our way to Boulogne to see the sights (see next ...

again. There’s something about this scene that makes you understand,
that no matter how hard you try, you can take a boy from his home but
not the home from the boy! (words used in the Bon Jovi song – Who says
you can’t go home)
Anyway, the planning has begun. I can’t describe in words how anxious I

I've always thought about blogging and sharing my experiences with
people out there but have never got round to it. This movie has somehow
convinced me to start one! (and you too Vishal!!) and what more than to start blogging about
my journey to India!(Exactly 2 weeks from now, I'll be flying out to
Mumbai!...for the very first time!)
... 1/2 hour) we headed straight to Priory Train Station to catch our train back to London. Taking the train was a nice diversion to buses or taxi's.. we did get to see some of the country side, but funny enough, I felt like we were in amongst the trees a lot of the time and didn't take any photos.. oh well.
We made it Victoria Station and headed off to enjoy the rest of our day.
We set off to France today for a new period in our life in Europe.
Work still chugs on, but with only 12 shifts in 42, we have plenty of time to ourselves.
We decided those "spare" 30 days should be spent in Europe.
I'll skip over the months of research and prep work and bring us up to today where we are now on the 4pm ferry instead of the 2pm ...
... stop. It was St. Mary's Church. The church is a beautiful old medieval church gently nestled on the side of the main street of town. As we walked up to it there were chimes playing indicating the time. To the side of the church was a small cemetery that contained gravestones for people from a previous century. The trees around the church were green and settle into the landscape as they were old friends that have coincided with each other for hundreds of years. It was a ...
Dover, United Kingdom danharriet... October) and I can just do anything. In fact I might see about paying a supplement and getting a fast train to the south of France. But I don't have to. So long as I am going somewhere I will be happy. Travelling usually makes me happy. Provided I am going somewhere that I don't go to that often. Travelling to work each day, I can just about tolerate because I'm going against the Bristol rush hour traffic; anything more than that on a regular basis ...
Dover, England, United Kingdom jeremyhill... of Dunkirk was orchestrated. We first took a tour of the wartime tunnels, a warren of over 30 miles of tunnels dug into the chalk cliffs. The have re-created several rooms to re-appear as they did during the war including the plotting room we see in some movies. We picniced and climbed to the top of the Norman castle where Henry VIII spent some time. Beautiful beautiful weather.
Dover, United Kingdom fhhorn... crew member. So they can really pamper their passengers. The waiters/sommeliers know their business and the crew is always friendly and helpful. And they're always cleaning a part of the vessel; even if it's already clean. Celebrity Cruises is definitly my favourite cruise line. I can't wait to be on board the new Solstice Class.
