... chatted all the way back to our run-down hostel, it was great to catch up again.
Tonight we're spending the night in a place near the city, with a barrister called Wickit. Their place sounds awesome - a hippy den in the inner suburbs. We're heading out with them for some live music tonight. Should be great.
At the moment we're making plans for our next month on the road. We're off to a place called the Black Canyon of the Gunnison next, which should be as epic as it sounds.

... it rests a 32-ft x 24-ft. painting by Canadian artist Cameron Cross. It's one of three varied sunflower paintings that he's done (the others are in Manitoba and Australia). It's pretty amazing.

After several more hours, I finally made it to Eva and Cole's house. They live in Littleton with their mom and dad, Christi, and Tom, in a huge and lovely home with views of mountains from nearly every window. I'm so jealous.

So I made it to 6am... and Ive given up trying to sleep.

Hungry now. Hunting pancakes for breakfast is next on the list after a good shower (now that my lotions and potions have turned up) as my body seems to think that it is acceptable to be morning now.

Dad has decided that he isnt getting out of bed until 7 so Im going to capitalise on one less person clogging the bathroom.

... scenery. Then while we were having lunch we suddenly looked out of the window to see heavy snow falling and settling on the ground, already a few inches deep. At this point we were travelling through fir forests and the snow laden trees looked magical - real Christmassy. Denver was interesting! The very beginning of the trip was hard work - Vegas hangover, massive queues at McCarran international, generally unsure whether another town would be as much fun, that sort of thing.
