This hotel is luxurious, spacious and stylish. The Apartment hotel lobby is the face and first impression and it is very attractive with very pleasant hotel staffthe which give you a 5 star experience from the moment you enter. We stayed for the weekend in a luxury 1 bedroom hotel apartment.
The apartment was well appointed with a spacious feel and include large kitchen & laundry. The bed was great large and with good quality linens.! . The hotel apartment was clean with all the amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel.
One only needed to call the restaurant for complimentary fresh milk and it was delivered in minutes. The ability to open all the curtains and look out on the idyllic peaceful Auckland skyline. The breakfast dining room is a wonderful option if you are wanting to enjoy a nice breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised when complimentary pastries accompanied by jam were supplied. It made for a very enjoyable morning. Breakfast at the restaurant takes you by surprise. They have nice bread, poached fruit, Salmon and cold meats, home made organic muesli and delightful smoothies, yoghurts and glasses of fresh fruit. The staff were very helpful and nothing was a problem.
The location was very central and the rate one of the best we had in our Auckland frequent visits.

We stayed here two nights in April, 2011 and found it to be an excellent place with very friendly staff and wonderfully appointed rooms. The only down side was getting internet - which didn't happen.

Sunday 24th January Welcome to Auckland City

After leaving the cold UK at 8.30pm and arriving in a dark Hong Kong at 9pm (local time), it was a pleasant relief to fly over a sunny looking North Island and land in the daylight at Auckland. "Uncle" met us, gave us our itinerary and maps, then drove us to our hotel (Waldorf Stadium …

It is nice to return to normality with really friendly English speaking kiwis. We enjoyed a tour of the city and met up with Mita (from an earlier Peru trip) for drinks and an Indian meal. Our last meeting in Auckland included drinks back at her place until 5am, This was not repeated on a school night! We also caught up with Lauren (former MWH …

After a leisurely breakfast at Gull Cottage we said goodbye to our fabulous hosts Geoff and Sharon and left Hahei for Auckland. We knew the journey would take approx 3 hours but we were happy to take the slightly longer route over the Coromandel Peninsula taking in the final views before we hit the city and cultural shock! Jack and Peter returned …

So it all began at 5.45am Melbourne time. Dad kindly insisted on being our driver - so in typical Maller style we were delivered very early to a crazy Tullamarine Airport. We therefore had plenty of time to eat and shop before departure. It feels very different not to be dressed in summer clothes at this time of the year but I have a feeling it's …

... the amazeballs ice-cream shop. Today I had white velvet rocky road, which just tasted like raspberry ripple but was very nice. Unfortunately I only had one piece of brownie in my chocolate brownie ice-cream – very disappointing.

In the afternoon I went over to the Auckland Art Gallery for a look round. Lots of NZ art as you would expect, but also an amazing ‘Victorian gallery’ full of just the sort of ...
