    Sunday May 10th
We're on the train between Linzt and Passau. Unspeakably early start to get the 5.33am train. No brekkie, no dining car, just an old man selling instant coffee from a cart. Snoozing, observing the countryside and the economic changes. The moment we passed into Austria the farm buildings smartened, villages neater, gardens more prolific, wood piles neater, more Audis, Mercedes, Mini-Coopers.
