Off on the next leg from Zurich to Milan. Some pleasant Americans next to me, we shared the mirth of being English speaking and the distain of French speakers. I have put the novel aside today as the train goes thru Lugano and como so should be interesting trip. ... we caught the bus up to the Mt. Pilatus ground station. We then took a 4 seater gondola up to the third station which then took us on a big gondola to the top of Mt. Pilatus. The cog wheel train does not run during the winter season so we didn't go up on it. It was a bit scary going up although the view was spectacular. ... the little village in which they live. It is BEAUTIFUL. The views from the house are 180degrees of mountains (when the weather isn't overcast like today!) ... there will be many photos to come I assure you!

We spent this evening bonding with the kids and also meeting another family who are staying here at the moment - the mother is Kiwi, the father Irish and the boy Finn sounds like he's from America! So we're so 'multi-culti' ...
