... to do 2 weeks by train in Europe. Once in Lucerne, jerry did a little watch shopping and I climbed the stairs to the parish church, St Leger. I got there just as mass was starting in this beautiful church with sun pouring in the windows. I stayed a bit to listen to the children's choir sing and hear the priest conduct mass in German (?). Scott used a couple of expletives while the girls thought they were on a roller coaster! Over the valley were some hang gliders and these landed in the paddocks half way back to Lucerne. As we drove along we saw farmers with walk behind slashers. They were also raking the grass and obviously collecting it to feed to the cows in the barns. Switzerland ...

... as Switzerland to my classmates, I figured there was no way I could go to Europe, and not see Switzerland! That just could not happen!! Unfortunaty... ... musical instruments. At about 1pm we took the cog train down the mountain. It travels down at a 45 degree angle. More great photos. We then sailed across the lake back to Zurich. The lake is enormous shallow in some parts and 700 feet in the deepest part. Tonight we are going to a Tyrolene dinner so that should be interesting.
