Highs lows and everything in between. Life in mainland Europe is a blur. Every city has the same high speed rush of Los Angeles, the same smells, the same surly people. Yet there is a strong presence of history around every corner. The weight of time hangs heavy over you. Each building has a plack with a date of construction or renovation on it. Was so much walking so a pit stop, a beer all round, I was first in line, sorry it started as like the taste of beer here. Was a very muggy ...

Hot hot hot again, even with a few fluffy clouds. Went to garden beach with a break for ice cream and loos. Got 2 swims in and Steve had a nap. Nice to just relax in the sun / shade. Went a bit queasy this evening - heat & dehydration I suspect! Last night there was some sort of dance music and cocktail demonstration (rather loud) and tonight a chap with his keyboard and traditional folk music (a little bit pub singer). Lying on bed listening. It's only 9:30 - early nights ...
