    ... Garden plots similar to the English allotments are popular over here, the difference being that the gardeners build a low stud, tiny house on them. I must find out if some people live in them as some have a chimney. They are intriguing and seem to be productive.
    As we are traveling without bookings, we have decided to have a night in Groningen, North Holland , only because the lady in the Hamilton map shop said it was lovely. Let's find out tomorrow!

    Yep, as suspected it was a sleep in for Lyndon this morning (11:00am!!!) while I on the other hand was fresh as a daisy. So although we had planned to go into town to do some more sightseeing we spent pretty much all day hanging around the house. Poor Annette will be glad to see the back of us tomorrow.

    ... it we tried but ultimately it was really every wo/man for themselves. I can’t even remember who won the most games (although I’m sure that whoever it was they remember, haha) but I do remember that at some point along the line the kids (Lil and Spencer, not Mali even though she tried hard!!) were somehow granted a ‘credit point’ each round.     ... on the continent, with some very basic campgrounds costing as much as 30 euro, while others with excellent facilities only being 13-14 euro.

    The route south towards Hamburg took us away from the coast, taking us through some really beautiful countryside and forests. A low point for the day was when we realised that a fair quantity of milk had leaked in one of our panniers, which made for a messy cleanup!
