... four lovely young guys all travelling to Brasil for the World Cup - two are Aussies, one is English living in Sydney and the other a ridiculously good looking Dutch guy also living in Sydney. They are all travelling separately, but become great mates along with another half dozen Aussies they pal up with on the cruise. My other tablemates are a retired New Zealand couple (Chris and Harry) who I become good friends with, and another NZ man around my age ...
... literally nowhere to go. There was a closed door to a restaurant and a stairwell. So we stumbled our way around the ship for a while and finally made it to the forward dining room. Miami Beach is tourist town par excellence, cars and motor-bikes cruise up and down, the side with the hotels is lined with bars and restaurants and clubs many of them pumping out very loud music. The hotel provides guests with ear plugs! They don't help much, but the music failed to keep us awake. We had taken the opportunity of being back in a big city to go to a movie and see Denzel Washingtn in 'Flight', Liz wasn't impressed.
