... lunch while sitting on the edge of the beach. The beach itself is hard packed sand and maybe due to the windy day there was lots of seaweed and the edge of the water itself is darker sand. Along the beach there are dozens of sun lounges for rent or are provided for different hotel guests. With the windy day there were also lots of humungous blue bottles so we stayed out of the water but did see some crazy people braving them.

Mounting our 50cc chariot for a cruise back into South Beach promenade and lunch at a local cafe. By now, I should have seen it coming... Ordering a couple of "Half Pound" burgers, we were surprised to see the scrawniest burgers you could imagine presented in front of us... We went to dinner in the main dining room and the food was better than the Carnival ship however the service was about the same. They blamed Val for ...

... we hadn't seen them in 25 years, it was like seeing them yesterday.
They are familiar with the area and took us to the hot street in South Beach where all the fun starts. We had drinks at the Bellini Bar and walked along the street where you walk through the bars and restaurants because the sidewalk goes right through the tables.
We saw the Famous Verscache Mansion. We also got to see a ...

    In Miami BITCHES!

A travel blog entry by chrisnvicstrip on Jun 09, 2013

I keep saying that - possibly because it's on every second t-shirt you see in this mad crazy place that is Miami! It's like the movies only better. This place is flipping MENTAL and we seem to have fitted right in, er? ;-) Approximately every half hour or so, Chris will say, I quote: "**** I love America, yes please", it's totally his style and it's pretty hysterical to witness, am loving it. Arrived here last Sunday, jumped into our hire car and drove the 350km off ...
