    Last night was brilliant. Jen's friend Marge drove all the way from San Diego to meet up with us for an evening of girlie chat (see picture - even Ava is involved) which I was very happy to participate in as Marge tells a good story.     ... Arizona is the Homestead. We had heard great things of the Homestead from others but had also heard that the road is really rough (high clearance and strong horsepower vehicles required).     ... back to the city and then the final steep climb up to the summit 3069ft above sea level.. the views were amazing and I had never climbed a mountain and reached the summit of anything so high before so it was a great achievement.. in these temperatures too.. I think Robin found it easier than me..thank goodness we took loads of water..!!

    They dropped us back to the van to change for dinner and Svetlana cooked us roast for our first ever thanksgiving meal... a super few days..
