... up, doing some last minute shopping in the galleria and grabbing lunch at Galleria Pizza & Trattoria. I was actually quite happy with my chicken tender wrap! This was a great little place to grab a "quick" bite..well as quick as you can get on island time that is!
Then it was bye bye Puerto Rico! Hope to see you again soon!
... casual - barefeet and swimsuits would have been ok here, so we were way over dressed. This would have been a great place to eat the night before - but it wasn't going to work for tonight.
Instead we found Alfredo's, also in the Intercontinental, which was a great Italian resturant! We enjoyed the yummy Fettucine Alfredo (what they are known for) and delcious wine. The restaurant was great and it was a great way to end the vacation!
... Jardin Botanica in Rio Piedras is a little more off the beaten track and has a lovely collection of flora. Or head up to Lago Dos Bocas to take in the the tranquil scenery. You can try to take the free ferry, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't run on any type of schedule. So instead, you can always take the Rancho Marina boat that will take you to their restaurant about a 15 ...

We flew Continental Airline from Ottawa to San Juan, Puerto Rico via New York/Newark, New Jersey. Flight was smooth and no problems were encountered.

This is something we are still coming to terms with and we apologise if this confuses our normal readers. San Juan, Puerto Rico themooners(PUERTO RICO) April 8, 2008 11:00 pm Hello! This morning, we had breakfast at Leonardo's. It was nicer than The Windjammer. (The "Eggs Benedict" was great!) After breakfast, we went to the pool. I tanned (and got a little burned) while Jon played a pool game. His team won and he got a luggage tag! Around noon, it became quite breezy and we soon left for lunch. We ate lunch at Leonardo's with Aunt Aundree and Uncle Tom ...

The people in the room next to me, they were doing something that bothered me. I'm allergic to it, it gets in my lungs and I get sick. What do you think they were doing? Drugs, I say. Yes, what kind of drugs? If I'm allergic to it, you don't shoot it in your arm, so what is it? Crack, I say. Yes, he replied, so ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico hayesbk... up, up about a mile and a half to another parking lot. This isn't where we parked either. It's hot and muggy. The road is steep. I've got pebbles in both my shoes. The Globetrotter candidate is handling things pretty well with that heavy backpack. Looks like she passes Globetrotter test #6 - carry your load without complaining.
Michael runs up ahead, certain that the car can't be too far. We wait. He soon drives up and tells us that ...
... Non-vessel ceramic artifacts recovered were spindle whorls, spindle whorl blanks, and smoothing tools. There were 48 diagnostic ceramic vessel sherds with a minimum vessel count of thiry. The vessel assemblage from these structures was predominately utilitarian in nature. I divided the vessels into 2 categories: bowls and jars. Because none of the rim sherds possessed much of the body of the vessel, full vessel shapes could not be approximated. Therefore, following the ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico linzstoker... of the actual Puerto Rican stuff is Bacardi or cheesy souvenirs. I did get a pair of glass blown earrings though and a yard of fabric for the blanket(apparently the bible study is having everyone get a yard of fabric in every country then cutting it up and making it into a blanket at the end) We also got a few other odds and ends. Then we headed out to try and find the authentic music festival at some fort. We thought we were there but when I asked a local he ...
