An early start this morning as we had to be at the airport by around 6.30am. I was awake at my usual 4.30am so at ten to five, I got up and had a shower and got myself organized. Shortly after that Sharon came downstairs and we put the jug on for a quick cuppa. Poor John didn't get a weekend sleep in and instead ferried us both to the airport. We’d just got ourselves inside Departures and there was Ruth – no trolleys with flags or ...

I think I adapted fairly quick and had a lot of fun :) we sorted a few things out that needed taking care of, namely a visit to KFC....the best donut I've ever had! The ...

... She was not a prostitute (I think), she was in fact Spanish and was from Valencia. As my Spanish only consisted of a few words, none of them complimentary and all learned from gansta movie, I consigned myself to buy water and bugger off leaving the counter staff to engage her in voluble and animated discussion about football, something so seemed especially keen on.

She did not offer me sex and I remain grateful.

... filing and lots of polishing produced two wonderfully unique and personal pieces of jewellery not to be found in any shop in Ubud.

Bali's culture is not only evident in its traditional crafts. The Bali-Hindu belief is encountered with every step- literally, as you have to tread carefully to avoid the hundreds of canang sari which adorn the pavement in front of every shop, the shrines in every house and even motorbikes. These ...
