... time and we landed at 6:15 am a bit ahead of schedule and Mitch was there to greet us and drive us home. What a good son.
So here I am sitting in our kitchen and about to finish this blog. It has been an amazing journey for both of us and even better than what we had expected. We want to thank all our American and Canadian friends, both old and new who have made our trip even more special. For those we know that we couldn't see, I promise we will return and maybe next time we can meet up. ...

... about all over the place. I hope that the manager, who visibly ruled with an iron fist, didn't catch a whiff of my shoes. There were also two pairs of Australians in our room; one from Adelaide and the other from Queensland. ... Thankfully they granted us till 12 and we got out in time. Just!
The shuttle to the airport arrived in plenty of time and we were checked in and at Burger King with about 1.5 hours to spare. It was 40 minutes till boarding time when we heard our plane was delayed by an hour and we wouldn't be leaving till 6:14. The wait didn't bother us - waiting is so much easier with another person!

The flight was short and painless - quite fun with Nomes to be silly with! We ...

... This was busy, even though it was nearly 2pm as families enjoyed a Sunday lunch/late breakfast. Peter had the scrambled eggs while Fletcher tried the teriyaki chicken and I had an enormous but very tasty Chicken roll.

Well sated, Peter drove us to Cottage Grove, not far from Eugene. This is an historic part of Oregon having been settled in the 1880s by pioneers coming across the continent in covered waggons. We got a brochure from the ...
