On Wednesday, the 5th, I picked up Ann and Sheri at the always crowded LAX airport around 10:15 pm. We stayed with Aunt Yvonne at her condo in Pacific Palisades which is located up Topanga Canyon off of the Pacific Coast Highway. My favourite thing about LA (like most cities) is the beautiful scenery that surrounds it- this one just has an added sign to let you know you are, definitely, in ...

... us to Alfonso, who amazed us with his slight-of-hand tricks using a coin purse and 4 silver dollars. Fantastic little personal performance, just for us. Once again, this hotel pleasantly surprised us. They really go out of their way for their guests.

The metro station was just a few blocks from the hotel, and we only had to ride it to the very next stop. A man at the station helped us figure out the ticket machine, but we probably ...
