When we arrived in Tamsweg, the snowflakes were about the size of my fist... we were worried we were going to get snowed in but luckily the snow had stopped by the evening.
Then we had a lovely relaxing evening playing cards!
... was really nice seeing them again - it is their last few days in Austria so it was good to see them before they went back to England.
We went for a couple of games of bowling before we left and said our final goodbyes to the Virtual Heroes lot!
THEN we were off on a 3.5 hour journey up to Linz! (after refuelling with a McDonalds of course!)

... ask if there was a bike shop in town because we needed to fix my brakes. He said there was, but it wouldn't be open until later. Then he suggested we come to his house which was nearby.

I was up at 5:30 and breakfast was at 7:00. Again the breakfast was great. We were still feeling a bit tired from yesterday and today we had about a 90 km day planned.
We left the hotel in Spittal at 8:40. The day was looking cloudy, but there were lots of sunny breaks. The route for the first part of the day was a level trail along the Drau river, beautiful with its turquoise-coloured water. After all the hills yesterday, it was nice to have an easier day.
Today was mainly a road day taking in the spectacular views of the mountain ranges Austria so often offers. Stopped at St Michael planning our route in the tourist information centre, before giving skippy a poor work out up and over what looked like some amazing ski villages in winter.
