... the ship and took one final picture of the sea ghost statue by the rotating draw bridge. We even prompted a Harry Potter look-alike to pose inside of the statue. With no idea what to expect in Klaipeda, we certainly are glad to have had the opportunity to learn and see more about this town.We're casting off at 1800 and are expected to arrive in Visby at 0700 tomorrow ...

... guidebooks suggest that during your visit to The Coronian Spit, you'll practically be tripping over them and the roadsigns warning drivers to look out for elk, tantalise infuriatingly. Actually, the elk on the roadsigns do look a lot like they are dancing, so I guessd that they must be a rarer kind of elk. Never mind. One room held Kalashnikov rifles and a full scale model of a surface to air missile, similar to the one that recently shot down the Malaysian Airlines passenger jet over Ukraine.

... here in Klaipeda! This park is full of sculptures done from 1984 to 1986 by various artists, it was formerly a cemetery but was demolished by the Russians. It started to rain again so we had to leave and head back home. Quiet afternoon but we did a little shopping, stocking up for the bus ride to Vilnius ...
