... the pool but the second day we went back into Perugia and had a look around before catching a train to Assisi. The train station isn't in the centre of Perugia, so we had to catch a mini-metro to the top of the hill which gave us a great view before exploring the town on the way back down. We spent the afternoon in Assisi, a short train ride from Perugia.
Assisi is a major destination for millions of pilgrims due to its religious ...
... Today the square is still a local meeting point for tourist and students alike.
The heart of the square belongs to Fontana Maggiore (Great Fountain) built between 1275 and 1278 by father and son team Nicola and Giovanni Pisano.
At the other end of the Piazza is the Cathedral of St Lorenzo with its pink façade, which was never truly completed. Work begun in 1345 and continued until 1587, however the door way was only built in the late 1700's.

Some of them will be victims of a real pogrom, which occurred in Siena, where they had ...

... was expensive and disappointing. We made our way back to the hotel to pick up our stuff and caught the bus to the train station and sat down for the hour wait for the bus to Perugia. I was still feeling a little average with a sore throat and very tired so I napped most of the way there. Perugia, Italy chellaCan I start with I think that if UC Davis adopted the Italian time schedule, students would never be late to class. Hence, teachers would avoid ever having to give those glaring looks to students that habitually sheepishly walk into class 1-5 minutes late. This would be because although our schedule states that class begins at 9am, actually, it is 9am in "Italian time" which means class begins at 9:15am. For all the Kappas out there, kind of like Kappa time ...
